Physical Environment

- Fire Hydrant
- The Interior Design and Layout of our house

Intangible Environment
One of the natural forces is the Five Elements, namely, the Metal (金), Wood (木), Water (水), Fire (火), and Earth (土).

Cycle of Birth
Metal -> Water -> Wood -> Fire -> Earth -> (back to Metal)

Example: If you are a weak Wood person, the energy of Water element is favourable to you. Water nourishes Wood.

Cycle of Destruction
Metal -> Wood -> Earth -> Water -> Fire -> (back to Metal)

Example: If you are a weak Fire person, the energy of Water element is detrimental to you. Water destroys Fire.

Eight Mansion School (八宅)

The North (水water)
The sector to energize for increasing the flow of income and success at your job. Leads to promotion, higher salaries and bonuses. Things to energize this sector:

a. Water feature (lively aquarium, bubbling water fountain or rolling ball water feature)
b. Painting of a water feature (landscape and lakes)
c. Ornaments here can be frogs, fishes, protective warriors and tortoises/turtles
d. Blues, Blacks and the metal colors, silvers and golds (Metal produce Water)

The NorthEast (土earth)
The sector to energize for education luck. To let your children study better and do well in examinations. Things to energize this sector:

a. Crystals
b. Statues of Buddha
c. Yellows and earthly colors

The East (木wood)
The sector to energize for good health and harmonious relationships between family members. Things to energize this sector:

a. Dragon ornaments (East is also known as the place of the Green Dragon)
b. Green plants
c. Statues of Buddha
d. Water feature
e. Avoid metallic colors and object (Metal destroy Wood)

The SouthEast (木wood)
The sector to energize for the ability to bring wealth and income. This is the kind of luck that allows you to amass wealth and to grow rich. Things to energize this sector:

a. Green Plants
b. Water features (Water produce Wood)
c. Ornaments here can be frogs, fishes and toads

The South (火fire)
The sector to energize for success, recognition and fame. This is important if fame and popularity dictates your success. Things to energize this sector:

a. Light (such as Lamp or Japanese lantern)
b. Green plants (Wood produce Fire)
c. Ornaments here can be phoenix and peacock

The SouthWest (土earth)
The sector (represents Mother) to energizes for love, relationship and marriage luck. Many attractive and eligible girls who are single, when check their Feng Shui, in many cases, it is either a missing SW corner or a toilet in the SW. Things to energize this sector:

a. Light (Fire produce Earth)
b. Ceramic and wooden pairs of ducks, tied together with a red ribbon stand for harmony and close loving relationships
c. Crystals

The West (金metal)
The sector to energize for descendant luck. This is important if you are a childless couple wanting a baby to start a family. Things to energize this sector:

a. Ceramic ornaments and crystals of white and metallic color
b. Statues of Laughing Buddha with many children
c. Fragrant flowers (West is also known as the place of the White Tiger)

The NorthWest (金metal)
The sector (represents Father) to energize for mentor luck. The most important part of the house; commonly known as “龙脉” (Dragon Gate or Heaven Gate). Things to energize this section:

a. Statues of Kwan Kung or Fuk Luk Sau
b. Crystals
c. Avoid open fires (a Kitchen in the NW, commonly known as “Fire at Heaven’s Gate)
